Default Climate Control Bulb

Wanted to see if anyone knows for sure:

The amber illumination on the ITR climate control, is this from the bulb? Or from a cover for the bulb?

The buttons themselves have different part numbers between the GSR and ITR, I'd like to compliment my ITR cluster with a matching climate control color, just without the faux CF.

TIA

The 97-98 itr center console light up amber without the CF trim. I've taking apart the climate controls before on the non-itrs but I've never done it on my itr.

I'm not completely sure, but I'm willing to bet that the bulbs are the same and it's the covers that make it light up amber. By cover, I mean the climate control itself. Probably has an orange film or tint on it or something.

Maybe try this?

Good Luck!

He is right! I have replaced my ITR climate bulbs before. Just a white bulb meaning the amber color must come from the actual switches.

Eh, def want to stay away from a DIY type deal.

So essentially, I could just order the buttons individually from Acura?

Or you could find a used 97-98 climate control. If you buy all the amber buttons your fan speeds won't match (the 1 2 3 4). It doesn't seem you can buy that part in amber alone.

I think I'm going to buy a used ITR climate control, and swap over the buttons and lower piece, anyone have on laying around?

Intead of poping the buttons and the decal peice thingy, you can just swap the entire climate control when you get it. Post in the classified sticky at the top saying to WTB this peice.
