SHOULD I REPLACE THE AIR CLEANER WITH ORIGINAL OR A K+N?

If i recall someone put a "drop in" back in the day and it actually dyno'd LOWER hp than stock.
Anyone else remember that?

If I wasn't going to buy a CAI or a SRI, I would just leave it as is. No need to spend more money on a K&N. Maybe if it increased HP by like 5-10, but it doesn't so...

I remember there being a dyno that some posted of a before and after for the K & N drop in and the total HP increase was like .8 hp .... The only reason I opted for a K & N was because its easy to clean and re-oil.
All the bs about hp and mpg doesnt really hold true IMO, but considering you'll never have to buy another AF again its cool

Yeah, you can lose power depending on the application.
Even adding a K&N on my bike makes you lose power. Boo.
Just go stock or get a full intake system as suggested above.
