Does a SRI void the honda warranty???if not what does??
I was just asking because i have to take my ex to the dealer because of some transmission problems...so i just wanted to know if i should take off my SRI and put the stock one back on b4 i take it back to the dealer.
if it's carb legal then theres no way in hell they shouldnt warranty your transmission. unless you did something obviously wrong, like cut a hole in your transmission to put the air filter in
here's one of the warrenties that honda does not cover:
"Any failure caused by modifying the vehicle, or installing accessories not authorized by Honda."
"Any failure caused by modifying the vehicle, or installing accessories not authorized by Honda."
and another question......can the dealer get any information from the car about high revs and imporper shifting...in other words abuse.....

Honda's ECU systems are still plenty behind GM's, but on chevy vehichles you can scan back quite a ways with the tech 2 for over revs and high load situations to check for engine abuse from a client, hell it even takes snapshots and stores them to memory. Honda most likely has the same ability, just less playback memory/history.
I doubt the dealer will blame you for anything, unless of course you powershifted your tranny to hell and broke a blocker ring or something of the sorts. Since a SRI has no way of directly affecting a transmission they cant deny you a claim becuase of it.
