Default sohc v-tec swap in an 89 si..

What up ppl

want to build a sohc v-tec hybrid, but the motor dealer in my area only carries sohc v-tecs from the automatic cars... either a D16A v-tec (auto) Or D15B v-tec...
I want to use the 1.5 because it's cheaper and use the extra cash for other stuff..

But the engines were from an auto... they don't have a clutch... i saw them...
will this be a problem??

i've read on honda hybrid that the usdm d16z6 1.6 v-tec will line up perfectly if we just us our si's intake, exhaust manifold and our ecu.. with a seperate line for v-tec..

anyone have some insight??
thanks..

Auto vs Manual doesn't matter. The 'flywheel' of each have the same bolt pattern on the engine's crankshaft, so you'd just purchase a manual flywheel and clutch to match the transmission you'd like to use. Oh, and you must use the Manual Transmission flywheel bolts as they differ from the Automatic versions (can be reused from your old motor or purchased at dealer/parts dealer)

My JDM D15B VTEC from hmotorsonline.com was out of an automatic Civic VTi. Just swapped on my new Flywheel and Clutch that matched my transmission and drove off.
