I could go into great detail about my y8/turbo build, but this is easier: go to http://www.turbod.com.

Turbo Y7's arent too bad. Friend i have used to have a boosted Y7 in a hatch, and it was pretty quick, def faster than a B16 N/A.

If it was stock it couldn't have been that much faster. Although it is definitely more cost-effective than a b swap. IMO you should just find a used y8 and boost it. It has way more potential.

It was stock (internals) , he ran 10psi for a whole year, no problems at all. It was pretty fast.
But yea, the Y8 does have some better potential with VTEC, as well as its gearing ratio.

It all depends on what your goals are.

How much power are you looking for? You may not even need to build the block depending on your answer...

y8's potential is just about the same... at higher boost vtec doesnt do much and its extra work on tuning the fuel maps. thats like saying a ls isnt as good for boost as a gsr when ive seen more than a few ls engines putting massive power down. y8 swap is just throwing good money away. just get the ex tranny. and b16s stock are slow as *****.

and turbod.com leads to nothing... maybe you meant turbod16.com

also check out dseries.org

Its the JDMsh!T.com's Type R Polyurethane one, its nice and fleixible, and came in a box so very tiny for a lip, lol it came folded 4 ways. I wanted to get C\F, cause its ballin, but is more prone to getting cracked and broken. ( at least on roads around here in NJ)

I've been running a boosted y7 for ages. It runs faster than any B16 swap, has been rock solid reliable, and a y7 has the exact same potential as a y8 when you add boost.
