i want an s2k
im going to buy an s2k soon and i wasnt planning on spending over 15k do you think i can find one for that price ive been looking around and 16 is the lowest ive found. i did find one on ebay today that was like 9k but its gone now but that was salvaged i wont be able to get a loan on a salvage title. what should i look out for when im buying one. thanks in advance
Here's my advice.
Save up some more money so you can start out with a bit of a better car. It's amazing the difference you will find between a $15k S2000 vs. a $17-18k S2000. much lower milage, better condition, etc.

you'd also be surprised in how poor the lower mileage ones are compared to higher mileage ones

maybe your record is kinda nasty? or being a honda owner in hick town?
the insurance for my s2k is not higher than my accord, being a good driver and student and all.

I Picked my 00 NFR with 64k, one owner, no accidents for 13,500 so yes you def. can. I've seen 3-4 like this for sale recently also, you may have to drive acouple of hrs but its worth it
well right now i drive a jeep wrangler and its slower then hell but the insurance is nothing at all...
I went to a honda dealer just wanted to check what they had and i came across the s2000, so i decided to get in and didnt want to get out. The sales guy just tossed me the keys and said lets go, prolly one of the coolest moments for me.....

yea i dont really care how much it is but im getting a loan and i want the payments as low as possible and high miles to me means its been broken in.(provided the have gotten regular oil changes ect.) i am also looking at sti's and tt's maybey even a bmw. where are some numbers (performance) on a stock s2000
Hey man, I'm in the same boat(Looking to buy), and I've seen several S2k's on autotrader, '00's - '03's for under 17k, some as low 12k. Heck man, there's one on there's a silver '00 with 24.000 miles for 15,977. within 75 miles of me! Too bad I dont quite have the moolah yet!
You guys that want an s2000 should really consider getting a newer one for a few grand more - that breaks down to less than maybe $20-30 bucks more per month but you get a much nicer car.
The AP2 is the ideal choice for a used car. If you want to spend $23k+ then I have a 2005 silverstone I'd be willing to deal just to move it out of my garage...email me (s4playko@yahoo.com)
