Reaction time sucks, 1/4 mile time sucks, What can I do for better reaction 60ft time
I ran today at tracking consecutive, 14.3 14.2 14.4 on my ls vtec turbo ek full interior. THis is kinda low for ls vtec turbo hatch. My car is slammed on street federal 195 50 15 tires? What could be the problem besides getting some slicks, etc traction bars. Im sick of 1st , 2nd no traction. I ran 2.36 consecutive 60ft. What do you guys recommend??
I have t3 t4 turbonetics turbo made 235 whp 196 tq on 7psi. I want better traction so I can hit 13's. My goals is to hit 13's consecutively. BTw Im running stock motor mounts with nrg engine dampener. I need to get the ac l bracket also.

I definitely need better tires, maybe bfg drag radials. What size do you guys recommend for 15's? I will boost more as soon as I get my hondata programmed with boost control

u need to raise it up a little if u wanna drag race it, less stress on the axels. and it will give u better launches.
Raising it up will definately help you out. What kind of suspension is on the car? Just springs? After you do tires, working on the rear of the car will definately help. I have my omni's set nice and tight in the back so there is no squat when I launch. I have ran 12.92 with the mph you have and a 1.81 60 ft time so there is definately more to be had out of that car.
Having the car slammed does nothing for traction, handling or any other function of the car. It may look cool, but your making the car handle and operate much worse than it could.
A stock car an do a 2.36 60ft and you have an LS Turbo and are doing that, so obviously your choice to slam the car is making you look like a poseur at the track. Raise the car to a normal ride height that would make your mom comfortable to ride in. Your axels must be a minimum straight from the tranny to the hub. If they are angled upwards towards the wheel because your car is so low you will break them. You should be able to put two fingers between the tire and wheel well that will get you pretty close.
THen get some BFG's as previously stated or M/T 22x8x15 on some light aluminum wheels. The stock miata 15" wheels are super light and 4x100 which will work really well. They are around 11lbs each and will fit a 8" slick pretty well (some bulging but not bad) http://www.miata.net/faq/images/91alloy.jpg Search Car-Part.com for some.

yea i will raise the car a little. because I can tell slammed car are for looks and whenever I launch, I can hear tires spinning. Will a 1 finger gap be fine. I currently run 195 50 15 federal crap tires with rota slips. What size bfg radials should I get. I dont have any bars at all on the car.
Thanks guys for your feedback. I didnt slamming the car can cause loss in traction. Is 1 finger gap ok?
you could try running a 14 inch rim with a bit taller sidewall on the slicks - but keep mind you still need to clear your brakes, you might end up having to lift the front end a bit to get the clearence you need to run a slick with a tall enough sidewall to give you the traction you are looking for - your trapping at just over 100mph thats about a 13.80 maybe a 13.70 - all of this could change though once you have a different tire set up - are you running coilovers/adjustable dampened shocks - there are some advantages there if you are with shock rebound and pack adjustments and ride height adjustment for getting a better 60 ft time

now Im no pro but I would say if your going to spend the money on radials you might as well buy some slicks.
cut your 60' times and turn up the boost

Something is wrong if you have 230+whp and are only trapping 102mph, besides the tires.

102 mph seems kinda low it should be more like 110+
so u pretty much need:
tires bfgs 215/50 or55/15's
raise the car higher (near stock height or tiny bit lower than that).
practice a lot
when u get drag radials play with the air presure and see when u like it.
good luck

wheel hop is the problem. I want some tires that will last the longest. I heard bfg dont last long on the track
well you have to find a happy medium. You either want traction or you want a long lasting tire. You will NOT find both in a tire. You could also try out the M&H or Mickey Thompson Drag radials, but they will all last about the same amount of time.
Its just like with anything in a car, you gotta choose whether you want to be fast or reliable.

true, you have to know what you want in the long run in order to build a nice drag car. in the mean time, buy some nice drag radials,(like the ones im selling, lol) and that will cut your times a lot.
