Just kidding, suckers.

Changed my belts and water pump tonight, jesus christ what a bitch. I did it outside in the nice 50 degree weather, the pulley holder sucks without a lift. Total cost was around 250, I bought my own crank pulley tool so now I'm set in another 105k. Took me 7 hours.

Best part was breaking that 19mm crankpulley nut loose. I kid you not, I was HANGING on the wrench, all 150lbs of myself and the bolt was holding me up, it was insane, my friend had to push me down to break it loose, along with my knee, it was a good time though. If you ever do it, buy a 20'' 1/2'' extension bar, 17 bucks at sears, best purchase for the project.

98-02 accord 4cyl are much easier than previoud models too. Alot more room.

At our shop when impacts wont take the crank pulley off, we have a 5 foot steel pole from a chain link fence. Put that over a breaker bar and pull, even then had a few that still were insanely tough to loosen.

$17 for a 20" extension? I use a 4' piece of scrap pipe for free$. But yeah, the more leverage you can get by length, do it.

yep, thats exactly what I did (as seen in my timing belt write-up), went to sears and bought a 20" extension and a 1/2" drive 19mm socket.

haha, not that kind of extension. You're thinking a cheaper pipe, he talking an extension bar (goes between socket and breaker bar/ratchet) to get the breaker bar/ratchet/cheater pipe/whatever outside of the wheel well when breaking the 19mm crank pulley bolt free. If you look at my write-up, you see he did exactly what I have shown.

it might be me but 1) i think its a little more responsive in the low end, no more timing belt slack? 2) i think there is sometimes a noise when i turn, PS belt too tight/worn?

I also had like a 2ft jack handle on the wratchet, the 20'' extension was just for the 19mm bolt-A MUST

As far as more room? Are you crazy? I couldn't even get the timing belt cover out, it was insane in there.
