Default whats brand of wipers do you use?

well im using OEM..... but i have been deciding on getting some new ones b/c the oem ones kind of started to die out on me.... they don't wipe much water away and its not safe to be driving around that way.

give me the brand you use and your opinion on it.

also i heard about this window washing fluid that makes your windshield let water roll through it... uhm.. like it keeps them balled up and they roll right off.. i wanted to know what that was called

thanks guys

i use rainx wipers, i think you're talking about rainx fluid, it makes the water bead off - found it annoying because it made the wiper skip. rainx wipers are good, without the fluid.

I use the cheapest ones possible. ACCO is the brand I think.

the best wipers are the Bosch ICON's they are spendy though (~$40/pair). They are the Euro style wipers that come on newer cars. You can buy them at Napa Auto Parts. I put them on my RSX and they rock.

Using OEM.

Rain-X (the fluid) is horrible for your paint.

Yeah, that's if you get it on your paint. I usually use a towel to block overspray.

It's the Denatured Alcohol that can cause oxidation of your clear coat.

i have BOSCH too...i jus got them not too long ago at Firestone. where i get my FuzionZRi's

i use RAIN-X also...i apply it with one of those cotton round things that you use to apply wax..i got that and jus spray it on so that there is not overspray then i rub it into the glass.

Yeah, the spray on and wipe off for your windshield is fine if you're careful. Rain-X also sells a washer fluid, which is specifically what I was talking about being harmful.

OEM is the way to go

best longest lasting wippers.

Bosch are good, but they start treaking after 4 months and rainex didnt last a month.

The Reflex things look like a ripoff of bosch icons.

how about when you're driving and you need to use them? wouldn't it be a bit hard to block overspray then?

I use the reflex ones too. I think they might only be sold here in Canada @Crappy Tire.

I'm using Champion ones. I don't know if you have those over there but they're decent and last a long time and are only £7 each.

03 2dr civic

If you go to a BS carwash machine dooohickey.. and ask for a wash with Wax -

the machine will apply wax all over your windshield (and may get into windshield washer nozzles)... which in turn may make your windshield blurry the next time you use the wipers

try using sandpaper to "sharpen" the wiper blades .. which should also remove oil/wax etc.
