Default Chatter Cheese

A member on 8thcivic.com added a new clutch to their AJP stage 2 turbo kit. The clutch is a Exedy stage 3 with flywheel. He then upgraded the turbo to a GT-35R and now has a chatter sound. Here is the link http://www.8thcivic.com/forums...36487

some things that get me are he said today when I meet him to sell my suspension. The noise sounds like it is coming from the turbo and it goes away after it is warm. I wonder if it could be the timing chain.

he doesn't think so but he did have his housings coated so there could be some. i tend to think it is a failing timing chain tensioner

Most clutch upgrades give you quite a bit more chatter than stock.. especially something as "serious" as that stage 3 Exedy. Other thing that comes to mind is the TO bearing

did he lube it well? I see in the 8th thread where he says it makes the noise in neutral, but what about with the clutch pushed in?
