This forum is REAL big on searching before asking, so try 6thgenaccord.com; it's smaller and specific to your car. But the link is probably all you need. Aside from it, just know that the lower you go, the higher the spring rate is likely to be. The higher the spring rate, the greater the need for upgraded shocks. You can expect to spend $700 for a solid suspension setup.

i've heard that H&R springs and KYB shocks are a very nice setup for the accords. having little money, i don't know from experience, but i know several people who are very pleased with that setup.

Don't feel stupid. New car, you get excited about it, want info . . . its understandable. But honda-tech doesn't like those kind of noob questions - that's why no one responded. And no problem, buddy. Good luck with your mods.

I have Koni Yellows, and it was decently pricey ($495 shipped) but TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Rode around with Neuspeed Sports on stock shocks before, and it was pretty crappy; the Yellows not only improved steering and and ride comfort (tremedously), but let me drop a little lower cause of the adjustable spring perch. Best mod i've made to date!

i've been looking at H&R OE sport springs, Tien Basic, Tokico HP or Illumina(i just don't know anything about Tokico), and Eibach Pro(they are just a little pricy) the H&R and the Tein are at the top of my list though. i looked at the Koni yellows and couldnt find an application for my car.

If you're looking to lower your car, you don't want to the H&R OE Sport Springs. They only lower the car 3/4 inch in the front, and 1/2 inch in the back. That's not much... If anything, go with their Sport Springs (not OE), which lower the car 1.5 inches front, 1.2 inches rear.

The Tein Basics are a decent "entry-level" coilover setup. Height adjustable, fairly soft ride due to softer springs rates (as compared to most other setups available). I'm wondering if you meant the springs instead, since this appears to be the only coilover you mentioned.

Koni's website lists an application for 98-02 Accords now. Click here to see it on their website. For the longest time they didn't have an application for 6th gens... I'm not sure when they finally came out with one, but I'm guessing it's fairly recent.

Eibach springs are some of the best (if not THE best) aftermarket springs out there.

You'll want new struts to go with and springs that you get. H&R OE Sport Springs and Eibach Prokits are the only 2 that are okay to use with stock struts, as they still use a soft enough spring rate. Tokico HP (blues) are decent struts, but unless things have changed during the past couple years, they are somewhat prone to blowing. The Illuminas don't seem to have this problem and the adjustability is nice. (I've had my Illuminas for over 4 years and love them.)
