Default need a recommendation for an amp

I'm looking to get a 4 channel amp, but I don't know much about them, like what brand makes good ones, best bang for the buck, etc. So far I've decided to get some component speakers for the front and a JVC KD-SH909 headunit.

looking to spend about $250

I'm biased towards the alpine and the fosgate power (400.4?) series for 4 channel amps, the alpines have very nice specs and tight control about the levels of distorion, the power 400.4 for example by fosgate (and all power series amps) have nicer crossovers (24/db octave rather than the 12 of a punch amp), i try to stay away from kenwood or pioneer, but another option you have is to look into a nice JBL amp (i know their mono blocks are very cheap for the power you get!)
I however have no experience with the jbl 4 channel lines.

The amps i mentioned should all be around your price range including shipping. JBL mono blocks are cheap from ebay, and you can usually find a nice alpine their too.

autotek sx4160 is also a good amp. Are you looking to power all 4 internals or just take a 4 channel amp, bridge it, and run the fronts off it only? B/c I don't think JBL makes a 4 channel power series amp last I checked.
