Lip fitment and istallation;Pros help meee please!!
I will soon be installing a front lip on my car. It's a 2001 honda accord coupe.
My main concern is:
Cutting properly the lip so it fits into the narrower hole

Fixing the gap that i will have because the bumper curve isnt the same as the lip.

Now i am wondering if i should use a permanent solution, such as molding it into the bumper and filling the gap with the proper materials (wich is ?) , or a temporary one like normal installations (would allow me to remove the lip and -i think- would cause less damages in case i hit something with it). But for that i would need to be able to mold/fill directly on the lip so it remains independent from the bumper..
My bumper is made of TPO-thermoplastic olefin- (i was said so..). and the 1st lip is an original accord 04 lip, so i guess it's pretty much the same material?
Wich products should i use? The same as i would have used to fix that huge crack in my bumper?
I need to make it near perfect, oem style looking..
thanks for your imput and dont hesitate if you need more info/pics, etc.

you said your lip is for a 2004 accord ??? your acc is a 2001 2002 it's sure it willl not fit i have one but ts not the same bumper.. i have an 98 acc i can show you but not the same ****
waste of time to "mold" it to the bumper. The first time you crack it against a parking lot entrance with a nice incline your not going to be satisfied with the result of a broke *** lip. i'd say buy a lip thats meant for your car
I dunno, seems like a difficult one to pull off. I've seen plenty of people mod lips for a 98-00 bumper to fit a 01-02 bumper, but this doesn't look as easy.
But lets see . . . if you cut along the same line as the lip until it would fit in the center, and if the lip is flexible enough, you might not have to worry about the "gap" you mentioned. That seems to be there simply because it's not up against the bumper.
Definitely don't mold it if you get it to fit! Double-sided tape and screws behind the fender should do.
