Aeromotive Fuel Sample Valve
Can I mount this on my fuel rail where the fuel pressure guage would go? Or is it better to mount it on the FPR? Someone had said it needs to be mounted on the low pressure side but I just wanted to see what other people were doing.
Also I found a place to get them for 75 bucks and wanted to see if anyone that will be going to the Englishtown Event in May needs one I was going to buy a few extras and bring them along just let me know.
Edit: Mods if you need to remove the above statement let me know. I am not trying to make any money just trying to help people out at the event.

i think it has to be after the rail. mine is goin on my aeromotive reg where the gauge port is. not necessarilly on the return side, but after the injectors.

im almost 100% sure that it needs to be located AFTER THE FPR, where there is little/no pressure.......

I just got mine the other day. I put it just after the fuel rail, but between my FPR and rail.
Such a simple unit, but quite expensive. Damn rules....

thats funny,
but yeah it is because most of us run the correct fuel, and dont try to cheat.
basically it is this and ill use sfwd as an example although i dont know how they are gonna decipher from e85 but here goes.
we cant run methanol in our class. only gasoline. say you suspect someone running meth. you can call him out to a tech and they need to inspect his fuel. instead of dipping the tank, bla bla bla, it takes the fuel right from the rail running the engine as to not allow shady stuff to happen. and it is basically just a buttin you push. and the fuel squirts out. done. makes life easier for the tech guys.

The way that this class keeps moving is really preventing the "little guys" from being able to compete (which is kinda nice actually). If you don't have the money to keep up with their demanding rules then you can't play. This is just another example. I'm just lucky enough that I make enough money to live and dump thousands into a car to support this sport.

in the pro class's they perform fuel checks on the return road after the scale.

haha, i wonder if the valve is designed to hold over 100 psi of pressure... thats a fire waiting to happen. i would hate to see someone burn their car because of it.

Exactly.
Stupid rules call for things like this.
J/K.
FUEL SYSTEM:
Fuel cell prohibited. OEM fuel tank mandatory. No other container,
fuel cell, bottle, etc. may contain any type of fuel. All cars must be
equipped with a drain valve located on return side of fuel rail to
facilitate removal of fuel samples for fuel-check purposes. See
General Regulations 1:5.
Looks like it's on the return side of the rail to me....
