Default holy missing front end batman...

UPDATED: Daylight pix taken this morning...

-----------------------------------------

yeah, thats how my car sits right now, outside my house, in the rain.

The garage has been transformed into a paint booth. I'm ricing out my headlights... just waiting for the paint to dry at this point.

believe it or not, that "booth" took me 5 minutes and $4 to setup... piece o' cake... and totally worth it since it kept me from having to do -any- clean up afterwards.

why did u paint the whole headlight housing? looks like your gonna get poor visibility. its shiny near the bulb for a reason.

no, I masked off the reflective portions of the housings... I just painted the ribbed portions of the housings to get more black in there. There are mirror like portions of the reflector and ribbed sections of the reflector, I've preserved all of the mirror like portions.

I've done this same process to my RSX with good results. If it does turn out to be bad on the visibility side of things, I will let you guys know and I will man up and get new lights... LOL

I'll be re-assembling these biatches tonight and I'll keep you all posted.

gotta be careful when removing the masking tape. The chrome part peels off extremely easily.

yeah, I figured that out the hard way.. I've got a couple trouble spots... blah, should have the lights put back together shortly.

the stupid thing about this is that I had no issues with the chrome peeling off on the RSX's lights, and I used a much heavier tape on those, the adhesive on that tape was ludicrously brutal, and no problems. Honda has really let me down on the quality side of things with these lights, yeah I know they were never meant to be messed with like this, but what happened to over engineering everything like the good ol days.

i must say. those came out clean as hell. good job i still havnt done mine yet. did you wet sand or regular sand the chrome housing when you removed it so the paint would have a better surface to stick too?
