ive been searching and found a site that showed pics of type r rods and they had an r on them and i just bought a 96 type r clip and i pulled the pan off and i can see the rod caps and they say p72 so how do i tell if some how i got scammed and its a gsr block im pretty sure the car was a type r because it had the vin tag and the right front end parts and has the wider 4 lug only it has the 10" rotors let me know

GS-R rods just say P72


Type-R rods say P72 and have an 'R' on them also *EDIT* i can't remember if this is on the rod arm or not

what other info did you need?

Pretty sure that all ITR have 5 lug..

so are the brakes supposed to be about 10" or closer to 11"

 

96 spec rotors/calipers are the same as the standard DC2s from what I recall.

What you need to look for is the hub being 4X114.3 instead of 4X100.

ya bolt pattern is deffinetly 4X114.3
