Default Car wont start! CEL 9 after obd1 conversion.

Ok so i jsut did the obd1 conversion, now my car will crank but wont start. and after about 5 seconds of cranking i get a CEL and i check it and its 9. I know is like Crank Angle Sensor but is it inside the dizzy on a obd1 LS dizzy or on the engine?

I have a 97 b18b, obd1 conversion harness, 4 wire o2 and obd1 dizzy. all brand new.
Ive seen this motor run in an integra before i got it. so i know it runs.

Any suggestions? thanks fellas.

Are you sure its crank angle sensor? 92-00 civics and 94-01 tegs follow the same codes. Code #9 is No. 1 cylinder position

I havent checked on how to fix this problem and I dont think you have either. There should be a "how to" for the problem you're having. Also, are you sure your wiring is done correctly? I think you dont need the crank angle sensor unless you were running a obd2 ecu (not 100% sure)

double check your distributor wiring. you must have converted the distributor plugs to switch from OBD0 to OBD1. maybe there is an incorrect, loose or shorting connections somwhere.

If its on theres a helpful link that has all the codes for 92-00 civics and 94-01 tegs like I mentioned before

I have a 97 LS motor in my 93 Si civic and have gotten this problem ever since my swap 2 years ago. I have an OBDI conversion except the dizzy cause it was almost brand new so I made the conversion harness. The only advice i have got is to buy a new OBDI dizzy. But I dont want to blow the money on it and have it be something else. My car runs good once the weather gets warm (NY) but in the winter it has to warm up all the way to stop "puffing" air from the tailpipe when you idle. Anyone else have any ideas?
