Canadian Integra
Hey, guys i have a few questions. I am not too familiar with Canadian integras. I am about to pick one up tomorrow and i was wondering how much does a 99 RS integra go for. It has 122,000 miles on it and the body is in pretty good shape. I cant find any information about the 99 RS model. I didnt even think they made a 99 RS but i guess they did in canada? Please let me know what you guys think asap i need answers soon.
There is no RS listed for either the US or Canadian markets for the 1999 model year. However, a GS model with 75,000 miles (I assume you meant 122,000 kilometers) prices around $6,500 - $7,500 USD on KBB. An LS prices roughly $500 cheaper using the same resource.
In Canada in 1999 they had the SE = LS = RS
My insurance tells me my car is an RS but its really an SE. GS was one step up with leather, sunroof, abs, and cruise, and then the GSR and Type R above that.

there was never an RS integra in canada from 94 on. SE , GS , GSR. thats it. an LS in canada in 94-01 would be a 4 door car. and in canada , we never had an LS in the DA style tegs. RS was baseline , and of course GSR in 92-93. the cars were also optioned differently than as far as what you could get in the baseline integra. versus the 94-01 you couldnt get a sunroof in a baseline integra here in canada. look on the back , it should have a badge that says special edition where on a GSR would say DOHC vtec.
The thing is, i carfaxed the car and the official title is a "1999 Acura Integra RS/SE" and the car has no sun roof, no abs, and it has the black door moldings. The kilometers on the car are 196k, which is 121k miles. The seller is asking $5700. Which from what it looks like the car is worth, the body is mint as is the interior.
I'm just curious as to why i can't find out anything about '99 RS when the car fax lists it as that. The seller is actually selling it as an LS which obviously isn't correct, but him being an older man I don't think he exactly knows.
any suggestions welcomed. thanks

ooh. gotcha. so what would this car exactly be? again with no abs, no sunroof, the black door moldings, LS motor, cloth interior.

I also have a 99 Integra with no sunroof, no leather, no abs and cloth interior, and it was a Special Edition (SE) but its sometimes called an LS or RS depending on who you talk to, but the actual model from Acura was the SE

It just took me 2 seconds to find an rs for sale in NS.

It has the VIN listed there and you can go to carfax.com and enter that number to verify that it is an rs model. I dont know where you got your info from.

check the inside of one of the door frames. there should be a factory sticker there... or you could read the VIN for the model. base models/RS' are already 100lbs lighter than any other third gen integras, so its a great base to work with

The rs/se was in 99, and was the base model that year in Canada. From 94-98 the base model here in Canada was the RS.

I just bought a 99 integra rs from a canadian citezen. Inside the door it says RS. It had to be registered as an LS because when the licensing brings it up the car doesnt show up because there werent any RS sold in america for that year. The same situation came up with my insurance. As did with the previous owner when he moved and registered it here.
hmph. so when i go to register and insure it, should i even bother trying to tell them it's a 1999 RS? and let them figure it out, or should i just say it's an LS?
if its a 2 dorr , its an SE , like i said. if its 4 door , its an LS. theres no RS. but it doesnt matter really , we all know its a baseline integra , whats the letters matter really. tell them its an SE and save your self them asking you about it.

my CDM teg also apparently has day time style lights. the second i put the car into gear, the high beams come on, but dimmer than what the high beams usually are, and stay on until i put my head lights on, then they go off. anybody know anything about that?
