Default Stock Alarm Problem

I have a 98 Civic EX sedan. Last winter my stock alarm decided to stop working. The remotes work and have new batteries. I checked the fuse to see if it was dead, but it was fine. Went by what the diagram say on the fuse cover. Correct me if I am wrong, it's running from the same fuse as the cruise control, right? The night before this all happened, I found the dome light flickering on and off. I may have left the light on, but I rarely turn it on. Does anyone know what else I could look at to find the problem? Or should I just buy a new alarm?

Silly question maybe...but have you tried resetting the remotes since all this happened? (following the how-to in your car's manual)

If they havent worked for even a few hours, you have to do this before it will work again.
