L Front rotor. just wondering because iv seen them go the other way. and only reason i put thses on is because i got them with less then 25km's on them for 60 bucks with new pads.
also wanted to know why i couldnt get the calipers over the rotors when i had two new pads in them? i had to use one old one on each side. the pads were worn down too bad. its on a 4 door dx. were the si calipers bigger or something?
did you push the caliper pistons as far back as possible?? i use a C-clamp but there's probably a more efficient way...
they look to be installed correctly otherwise. i'd get all new pads on though

i pushed the piston back with a screw driver. didnt have a clamp big enough. and i know they were back as far as they could go because the pad was flush witht he caliper.
It looks like the rotors are on the wrong side, but without seeing the fins inside the rotor it is hard to tell. Typically the cross-drill holes go the opposite direction in relation to the wheels going forward. That might not be too clear, if, when you are going forward, the wheel is rotating clockwise the cross-drilled holes should be pointing counter-clockwise. That seems as clear as mud.

lol.. i got what you were saying the first time.. second time made no sense. alright.. fins in side should be slanted towards teh back of the car right? anything bad goign to happen if i dont change them?
No, the fins inside the rotor should face the front of the car. If you think about swimming, when you cup your hand and push with it, you force water to move from your fingers to the palm. When the fins on the rotor are pointed toward the front of the car, it pulls air into the center of the rotor and cools it.
There is no real harm you can do by having them go the wrong way, unless you are tracking the car and need the most cooling possible. Like I said, it is hard to tell if you cannot see the fins. Some rotors are drilled one way, some are drilled the other. The holes do not do anything besides give the gas that comes out of the pad a place to go. This was a real problem years ago but brake pad technology has come a long way and it is not as important as it once was. Also, if you really need more brake cooling, then you do not want a cross-drilled rotor. The cross-drilled holes actually decrease the surface area of the rotor. Also, they create weak spots that can crack when the rotor gets really hot.

did you read my post at all? i bought them from a private seller because they were mad cheap and only had 25km's on them...... anyways, we'll see if they crack or not.
do i care?
you bought them from the guy who bought them. idiots like you and him keep buying it because they think it makes their car look good.
so what. do whatever you want. rice your car out. im just giving you fair warning.

people like him? whats that mean anyways. If I could get 2 rotors, and 2 pads for the price of ONE new plain rotor and a cheeseburger and fries I'd do it. who the hell cares. Brembo uses them, as do Baer and like companies, so they cant be that bad. Alot of people do not install things correctly and or beat on their cars so you have to expect failure at some point. Regardless, I'm going to take a nap now.

ok for the last time.. they arent cheap rotors.. i got them for cheap. these arent cross drilled rotors of death that someone drilled holes into in their shed. come on. a company wouldnt produce rotors that kill people.
