Default Windshield wipers

Ok so today I drove my car to where I had to work and it was raining pretty hard so I had my wipers on low... I realized that with almost every wipe my wipers would go too far and go past the windshield and then hit my drivers side window... Now im wondering... how can I adjust my wipers so they dont go so far? is it a possiblity that the motor may be no good?..

Well I suppose it could be the motor but first you should try just adjusting the position of the arms on the spindles. They are each held on by one nut. Take off the nut, lift the arm off, put it back on at the correct angle, tighten the nut.

And also what do you guys recomend using to remove black scuffs? because everytime my wipers passed my windshield it scuffed up the a pillar on my drivers side and now I have like 5 or 6 black streaks going across it and it doesnt look good since my car is white.

Or bug and tar remover, followed by a rinse with water.
