Default how to tell the difference between JDM and USDM ECU's

hey everyone i got a swap andi think i may have gotten the wrong ecu so if anyone can tell me what the difference is please help me that would be awesome thanks

P72 is a 94+ GSR ecu. The JDM version is smaller in size (more square) than the USDM version which is longer (rectangular).

I have both at home.

This is correct! I have a usdm p72 ecu sittin right here. Also, you can usually tell if its a jdm p72 by the last couple of digits, ie: 37820-p72-900 or whatever it is. USDM ecu's tend to end with p72-A00 or A01, etc.

JDM p72 or USDM p72, either way yer car will still run, but the JDM is supposed to give u a lil more power. from what i hear, it has a different air/fuel ratio to make it more aggressive, but it wont pass smog.
