I'm sure it's been done at least once.

by "OEM itr set" I assume you mean stock type R header back exhaust?

I didn't do exactly that but I did add just a Spoon header and High Flow cat and kept the OEM catback for almost 2 years.

What exactly would you like to know?

I don't see the point unless you're going with a larger diameter header.

Well, the OEM cat is quite restrictive, so even on an otherwise stock setup, swapping to a high-flow cat would yield some gains.

However, you'd obviously have much better results if you upgraded the header at the same time.

I upgraded the whole exhaust system. I have the JDM ITR Header, with a 2.5" High flow Cat and a 2.5" cat back. System seems to work fine.

Juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze. Is ruining our ozone layer really worth a whopping 5hp to you?

he wont get 5 hp lol....

the cat isn't really a bottleneck unless you have other work done on your car...from the sound of it I would leave everything along if I were you.

5hp? Nahh maybe .5 on an otherwise stock setup maybe not even that.

And a HF cat will pass emissions, not to worry the tree huggers.
