Hi, I just bought my new HKS Hi Power Catback Dual Exhaust for my 03 s2000. From what I have been reading about this exhaust i have been disappointed. Losing power? sounds shitty? Can I get some comments please. I bought the exhaust for the amazing sound it has, or so I have heard. Is this power lose a fact or just small talk. Please help? Comments about this exhaust please?

 

do a dyno and see if it is on your car or not. some have reported minor losses. nothing to cry over.

It's all hype, you don't lose. I gained power when I had it, and it sounds great. One guy lost power which was then proved that it was due to his intake and now people that don't even have the exhaust claim a loss in power.

 

I love the sound of this exhaust.

Before getting it dynoed mind as well buy a vafc so you tune it also

Well my HKS should be in by Wed. Im excited to finally get some noise added to my car.

 

The HKS exhaust sounds soooo much better than something like the Invidia. There's hardly any drone and the exhaust is a lot quieter. My buddy's got it and it sounds great.

 

yeah im defiently have my mind set on the Apexi as stated above... however im lookin into also a test pipe.. but i heard it will throw a CAI any suggestions on that?

 

a test pipe will throw a Cold Air Intake?

Yes the Invidia is loud but deep but from 5000 rpms on up its sounds very good. It's sad that my wife makes me put on the silencers on when we drive together. HA-HA

Invidia is junk. Its just loud, theirs no sex to the sound.
