2 problems need help
ok. here they go. first problem is sputtering when vtec kicks in. doesnt do it all the time, just every now and then. second is, i keep disentegrating the wastegate gasket. tial 35mm and im using the gasket it came with. so im blowing some of the exhaust out of the bottom of the wastegate onto my nice clean block=(. what gasket would you recommend that i wont melt? the people at autozone told me to go to tractor supply and get some of the metal gasket sheets and cut my own. and could the sputtering be because of the wastegate leak? b16a2 bolt-ons and boosted.
Have you altered the vtec engagement point? If you have the sputtering, that is EXACTLY why Honda set it to where its suppose to be. If you set it to low your engine will bog/sputter like your saying its doing. Case and Point DO NOT ALTER THE vtec ENGAGEMENT!!!
vtec is set at 5500 like it is supposed to be. if i raise it to 6000 then it doesnt sputter. im throwing 3 codes, first is code 3 map sensor because its reading boost, second is code 10 for the intake air temp because i accidentally cut off the plug, lastly is code 22 for the vtec pressure solenoid but i dont know why it is on, vtec still engages.
and the car has been boosted for about a week or so now. it used to sputter real bad after vtec but i cut the fuel some and it works a lot better, but still does it a little

Cut the fuel, are you home tuning this thing (via a VAFC of some sort) ? Sounds like you got a bad air\fuel mix and your bogging out the motor. If its doing this, you should definatly let a professional tuner give you a good tune.
Try replacing your solonoid, see if that helps.
Speaking of VTEC, you said 5500? i thought it was 5700? Maybe it different on different motors, i could be wrong.
