so im running a stock B18C1, all iv done is replaced piston rings, bearings, put arp head bolts and rod bolts in it... now i called Inlinefour.com and they asked how thick i would like the head gasket, since these are made custom... im running a T3/T4 (not sure of the name brand) turbo.... what i need to know, and i was told this would be the right forum to ask, is how thick should i get the head gasket.?? one gentleman on here told me to go .041" because it could bring it down to 9.1:10 compression ratio i believe is what he told me?? is that right, and is that what i want??
Thanks for the info guys!!

Since its a stock motor, i'm sure your not going to be running lots of boost. I'd say run a stock oem gasket again. You will make more power that way, and as long as its tuned conservatively you wont have to worry about detonating or any other problems.

Low or high compression + good tune = safer boost

Be sure you have adjustable cam gears and a competent tuner if you're going to run a thicker-than-stock headgasket.

Talk to him about running a thicker headgasket without adjustable CAM GEARS (not cams) and let me know what he says to you.
