Whats goinz on fellazzz, i'm swapping out my old d16y7, it has like 237k miles, still runs good, but i want a fresh start, and i'm getting the cash together while i blow this engine, now i hear that a d15b = d16y8, except that d16 is just usdm and d15b is jdm, and i can get that d15b for $1000 with shipping complete swap, is that good deal? and is it really d15b=d16y8?

 

Nothing really special about the D15B (JDM 92-95 Civic VTi) except that it has the most aggressive stock cam. $1000 is way too much to lose 0.1L, stick with the Y8.

Of course, there are many D15B out there with different specs. If you choose that route, I hope you get the one from the 92-95 Civic VTi.

 

don't pay $1000 for a d15b lol, who's trying to sell that to you? head to our very own honda market place and I'm pretty sure you'll find one wayyy cheaper

also... the damn d16y8 is like imposible to find. If the headache gets to big, i'll just get a b18b with si tranny
