Broken mount
I have a 97 Accord that was in an accident and the motor mount at the timing cover broke off I had this happen some years back and bought a mount from Bolger products but I think he has died. Does anyone know where I could get a mount that changes locations of the mount so I dont have to replace the engine in this car? Thanks
Why would you want to relocate the mount? Is the car tweaked that bad to where a stockie mount won't fit? -If so, then even if you replace the thing with an aftermarket one, it will drive like crap and wear out tires like nobody's business.
If it's just broken off and you want to bypass it to another location, I assume you could do that, but you may run into other issues as the engine may not be sturdy enough at that new location to take the brunt over extended periods of time. My suggestion would be to just take off the upper part of the timing belt cover and pull the remaining broken piece out so you can install a new one where it's supposed to go.
