I just bought a digital camera so I can start documenting my projects like you have done. My first project will be a modification of the Motive Bleeder System.

I had a friend that was in one of the fraternities at CMU that was into Buggies. Some of those things are pretty cool.

Carbon Fiber is cool...but it conducts electricity, which makes things a little interesting at times...

Actually the carbon is only about $18/yard which is about a 36x42 inch section. So we used maybe $5 of carbon and a small amount of epoxy. The problem is that you can't really buy raw carbon fiber in small amounts, so the stuff we used was probably once part of a $800 order. Oh, and I think it was a 2 oz weight savings--so THERE!

 

Given that 15lbs of weight reduction is roughly equivalent to 1 wheel horse, this works out at $8400 per wheel horse.
