205/40/16 tires
Im about to get new wheels and tires for the R, and with the suspension being stock will it make my wheel gap bigger?
Also if anyone has pics with 16inch wheels and that tire size on stock suspension that would be great...

yes, it will have 1.2" smaller diameter then stock 195/55/15. its simply too small for the R, for any type of performance driving(It does not have proper load capacity for the vehicle).
My recommendation is 205/45/16 followed by 215/45/16 (JDM tire on 98-01 Spec cars)
which will put you @ around 0.1-0.2" of your stock size

I agree

I've got 205/40/16 on my ITR powered 94 Civic. It works great, and looks good on the smaller car (thats lowered 2.5"). I don't know how it would look on the Integra at stock ITR height though. The car will need to be lowered at least a little or it will probably look funny. I would definitely use that size tire w/ stock suspension if I was trying to compete in a "stock" racing class and wanted a slight gearing advantage and a slightly lower CG...
The smaller 205/40/16 tire will change the gearing by 4%. This will make your speedometer read incorrectly. When it says your going 25mph, you will actually be doing 24. When it reads 50mph, you will be doing 48. When it reads 75mph, you will be doing 72. When it reads 100mph, you will be doing 96. Basically you loose 1mph for every 25mph increase. You get used to it...

Usually a wider tire > shorter gearing when it comes to any course with sweeping turns. And a 205/40/16 is pretty narrow in most of the 'performance' tires. An Azenis 215/45/16 is significantly wider than a 205/40/16 Azenis.
Also, it's a 4.2% difference, so when the speedo reads 60mph, you're going 57.5mph.
Plus, I still think that tire would look dumb on a stock suspended ITR.

i can tell u its on the border.....correct size is 205/45/16......
depending on the width of the rim......if its 16X7 the 205/40/16 is ok but not reccomended..but thats the widest u should go.....for 40 profile

that's all I have, sorry.

On an ITR (or other Integra), use either 205/45-16 or 215/45-16. Both are within 1 percent of the outer diameter of the stock size. Don't use 205/40 or 215/40, both of which are much smaller in diameter.
There are plenty of excellent tires available in either 205/45 or 215/45.
