Well the P28 isnt the correct ecu either. What ecu are you planning to use?

P2P is the correct ecu, but the downside is that its obd2 not obd1. P28 is the closest to use, but best thing would be to get it tuned if you want it right.

P2P is obd2, unless your obd2 you wont be using it. You could get any chipped ecu thats tuneable and work with that. Or a p28 with a VAFC will work too.

I think this might be getting confusing. You could use the p28 ecu but its not the correct ecu but its the closest you could get.

He meant get the P28 tuned.

However since the P28 is OBD1 and your car/motor is OBD2, you would need a conversion harness to have a chipped program running, unless you had a standalone engine management.

With a D15B, you should run the P08....Or you can run a p72 ecu (GSR).

Yes, but you will still need a OBD2 - OBD1 Conversion harness to run it correctly.

I edited my post...you CAN run the p28, but the true ecu to run is the p08. I can send you one if you need.

Bro..all you need is a P28 w/ an OBD2 - OBD1 Conversion Harness to run it correctly so you will be able to chip it and tune.

A conversion harness is like $100.

You will be alright, but first thing you should buy when you get some cash is that.

Yeah you should be able to run the engine even w/out the correct ecu for a little while. I'm not sure how much effect it'll have on the engines overall performance tho. I have a z6 running off a p06 while waiting for my p28 to arrive and it works fine just no VTEC. I would suggest letting the car run at idle for a while just to make sure everything is ok first before road testing it.

Your fine. P28 is the closest one to P2P for obd1, and P06 is the closest to P2E for obd1.
