Default External Coil Going Bad?????

My car has been acting really strange lately, its been burning out the coils on my ignition. I recently purchased an external coil from MSD and I think it burnt that one out too because I now dont have any spark again. I also recently just installed cams, valvesprings, retainers, and cam gears and the car is currently untuned. Running very rich. What can be the cause of this?

i dont know what your problem is but as soon as you figure it out you need to tune the car or your going to have more serious issues.

Check cap and rotor? Look at the spark plugs? Check for a bad injector?

I had a bad injector take out the rotor, which caused my stock coil to go. Very odd situation, I know, but it's a possability.

check voltage to coil (b+) and check resistance of primary coil windings and secondary windings of your coil. check resistance of your spark plug wires. max 30,000 Ohms, will increase from cyl #4to #1. could be shorting out.

in theory if your coil keeps blowing it because its shorting out. So look for the short.
