a/c question

Default a/c question

if i dont get the a/c system vaccumed before i charge it with freon how will it affect the a/c system?

The system is vaccumed to remove whatever is in the lines and to confirm that there are no leaks.

if there are no leaks would not getting the system vaccumed cause the system to to cool as much or what?

the more you vacuum, the more mositure you can get out of the system. which makes the better for cooling, but if you take something out; make sure you replace the disecant bag (reciever/accumilator). oh also once you put it into a vacuum, make sure it holds the vacuum for atleast 30 minutes (it think); so you know that it doesn't leak. good luck.
