Now What?...Advice Needed
I need some advice. Ok here's the story, my dc2 was stolen a couple weeks ago. I was infomed that it was about a hour and a half away from my house in nyc in the back of some abandon house just recently. Ever since the car was stolen i bought a eg. So heres the thing, it will most likely cost around (maybe) $500-$1000 to get it back to my house and the only things salvageable would be...
1-slip over coilovers
2-front camber kit
3-gsr fuel pump
4-dc tie bar
5-megan contol arms
6-gsr axels
7-both doors
8-sunroof
9-2 gsr rims
10-1 leather seat
11-the dash
12-rear disk brakes
...would it be worth it to tow it back to my house for the money or just pay a lot less and take it to a junk yard in the city.

nope. i only had liability. but.. that wouldnt make a difference i don't think. maybe ill look into that actually. but n e way, i was told that "it was on private property" and that it was "my responsability to remove it from the premesis asap". i tried to remove the vin #from the chasis and from the window so they couldnt prove that it was my car in case i decided to leave it there but it is still distinguishable. i donno. so probobly leave it or junk it?
some junk yards will tow the car for free as long as they dont have to pay you for the metal and whatnot.
If I were you, I'd try to go there and strip the parts you want, and have the junkyard pick it up.
Ive heard of quite a few people doing this before, you may wanna check into it.

well i dont favor what ******** said. only because i was thinking about doing just that but its on private property and i think somone is gonna see me doing it and call the cops on me. that wouldnt be a good deal. but if its under 400 beans to get it back i would tow it to my house, take the parts off that i need then ship it to some junk yard. thanx fellaz

dude...kick back on the "report this thread to moderator". Not everything can be moved as you would like it to. Although a lot of these topics are not "tech" related, they just don't belong anywhere else in any other forums. Also, instead of just replying with "rptd", you're basically post whoring. If you're going to reply to a topic, at least answer the question that has been asked. If you want to report a thread, just report it and don't broadcast that you did report it....just my .02
As for the OP's original question, for all the parts you have listed, you can maybe only get around $650-1,000 for all those parts. If its worth all the work and hassel, and you'll be benefiting in some way, then go for it.
