I dunno... probably around $18k at most. The car will be out of warranty due to mileage. (Unless you purchase the extended coverage).

 

Mine had about 5K more miles than you and was sold to a dealer for $19.5K. You should be able to get 21K if you are patient (unlike me).

I'm moving next month (no garage there) and am thinking about selling my 2000 PY (17K stock) in NJ. Or, I may drive it to Minnesota and put it in the barn next to the chickens. Then I'll drive the Yukon back here and let my mom drive the R around rural MN on nice Sundays.

 

$19,800 with 31k miles is what mine went for. Took 5-6 weeks to sell it too.

Everyone's priorities are different. While you are right that there are very few cars that can equal the cars performance at its price, maybe he doesnt care for the same level of performance anymore and wants comfort. Or maybe he is stepping up to something higher performing. Who knows...

 

I was thinking 93-94 RX7, 98 M3, or 98 Corvette. All could be had for not much more than what I can sell my R for. AND, I wouldn't have to worry about theft with those cars.
I haven't made up my mind yet.

But I would rather walk than drive a VW

17k? Bank says retail on a 2000 R is $21k. GOod luck getting anyone to loan that not through a dealer . . . Plus everyone always wants a deal and people are selling them way cheap so it is hard to move them.

Not around here. There was a turbo ITR in the paper for 28 grand last week, it's gone now so I'm pretty sure he sold it.

Our local paper gets one up for sale about every 3 months and that's it.

 

Supply and demand... since there aren't many cars in the price range that can beat an ITR in its game, you just gotta wait for the person who realizes that. It also doesn't hurt that ITR has such mystic/legend status.

 

my insurance company gave me some stuff that says they wanna pay me $19k (and minimal change) for my car here in so cal that is just about the same. 32k miles, basically stock '00.

i'm trying to fight for a lil' more though...
