timing problems
i just have a lil problem. i have an adjustable cam gear that i just installed so that i can get my timing in line. it trys to start but just doesnt quite turn over. Any suggestions?
A cam gear is not used to adjust your timing. It's used to alter the camshaft's position with respect to the position of the crankshaft. I'm assuming that you lined everything up with TDC as your guidepoint. If not, I'm sorry.
And when you say it doesn't quite turn over, what do you mean? Did you do anything else at the same time?

why exactly are you installing an adjustable cam gear? whats done to the car? is it worth it to put **** like this on your car when you dont need it just to have it cause you problems? if its just a stock motor with bolt ons , take it off , sell it , and run the stock one.
i do need it i was tryin to run a stock gear on a stage 2 cam and it just wasnt working out
and i mean exactly what i said, it tries to fire and it sounds just like its about to turn but never quite does.
