What was the offset on the JDM 16inch wheel that didn't rub? Probably higher than 40mm of the rota...

JDM 16" wheels are a 50mm offset.
I think we need to know where he is worried about rubbing at. If anything it will be on the fender b/c 40mm will push the wheel towards the outside of the car.

Unless the spokes of the GT3 wheel are too thick and hit the caliper...
I would call rota & ask if they have a +50 offset GT3 for the ITR...

Roll the fenders.
Roll the fenders.
depending on how low u are..i doubt u'll rub
stock offset is like 42 or 45....
you'll be fine.....
ive ran 16x7 offset 33, 16x8 offset 35, 16x7.5 offset 42
i still put on spacers to make it look flush.....
if it touches lightly t ur fender, just roll it a bit.....very quick easy thing to help u run wider sexier wheels

by the way the rear quarter panel well is wider than civics dont know by how much. i say that well from my own experience b/c i have a civic ek.
my freind lend me his moda bbs wheels which were 15x7 with an eta35 tires at 205-50, his tegra was slammed on these and had room. once i put these on, it was flushed to my rear fenders. so youll be good, especially what rota has to offer, mostly honda wheel sizes

With the proper offset, 215/45-16 shouldn't rub, unless your car is really slammed bad - in which case, the best way to deal with it is to set the suspension at a more reasonable ride height. With the more common lowering of 1-2 inches, it shouldn't be a problem.
I am having this problem also. When i turn hard to the left, my right wheel will rub on my frame. I was thinking to go with wheel spacers, but i was told by a friend to change out my lower control arm. Has anyone had any experience with this, will this fix my problem? Thanks and if you know a certain control arm that would fix this please let me know
