Default Auto Cluster w/ manual tranny

Just swapped 5 speed into my 98 base (auto), I am using the auto gauge cluster and the D4 (Drive 4) light continues to flash. Can not find out how to disable. Any ideas? (w/ out buying a manual cluster)

New cluster? Or take the bulb out if it has one?

I'm assuming you swapped your ECU with a 5-speed one.

When it flashes, it's just crapping out because, obviously, the auto tranny (and D4 Gear) aren't there anymore. Just take out the bulb.

the little LED bulbs are a pain in the nut to get to without compleatly disassembling the cluster. On the 4th gens there is a seperate wire connection for the auto tranny indicator lights, you should be able to just unplug that connector.

How'd u manage to start ur car if it's hooked up in drive. For my car I had to hook it up to make it think it's in park or neutral or else it won't allow me to start the car.

The disengauge switch was not wired up. I can start the car regaurdless of what gear it is in and regaurdless of if the clutch is depressed or not. I have to remember to always leave the car in neutral before starting or just make sure I push in the clutch before starting. Not a big deal..
