Default speed bumps and side skirts

I'm thinking about adding a body kit to my civic but I'm concern about speed bumps and pot holes and drive way entrances. What are some steps I have to follow to insure the side skirts won't fall off while I'm driving and are some side skirts less prone to getting scraped than others? (depending on size?)

thanks

Here's my 05 with the HFP package, the drop is like an inch at most, the body kit is a bit prone to hitting in the front on a seriously big driveway but normal ones are no problem, dips in the road you'd have to be speeding really fast. And the side skirts have not one scratch on them from bottoming out on anything.

And to the guy who said it's Rice, I think it looks way better than it did stock....

Haven't gone over any that have ever hit anything under the car, exhaust or side skirts, the only thing that is a problem is a really steep hill, but if you go at it at an angle, your fine. But go head on and it will scrape. I think it would have scraped in stock form too.

I think stock looks way better. Just go with a lip kit and lower it

lol thats right ley..... but its personally opinion its your car you do what you want i just think 500 + for a body kit and then paint is alot of money.... when stock on the em2 look good lowered or with a lip kit..... and you wont have any problems with speed bumps or drive ways as long as you go in an agnle....

no its not the same thing, a lip kit goes right on the stock bumper, its like an add on on the other hand a body kit you will have to take off the stock one and replace it with the body kit one and you may have problems having it line up depending on the kit. also body kits are big and some are cheap, if you lower it and you hit a pot hole or go up a driveway to fast and hit the front you will be spilling rice all over the place cause it will crack or break off. so i say the my best bet is to go with a lip kit.but its your car do what you want.

Just a FYI the pics I have up above are Honda's Factory Performance Package body kit. Everything fit perfectly, matches the color perfectly, and you don't have to remove any bumpers and there is no drilling. I put the body kit on myself, and had the dealer install the HFP suspension just so there would be no warranty issues. Fit and finish is pretty nice. That's why I went with the Honda stuff.

I've driven through snow, New York City, Philly, Jersey City, which are all seriously bumpy cities and have had no issues whatsoever.

hey hey... dont let people sway your oppinions. your thoughts are yours and dont ever let anyone change them. if you like body kits than go for one. i myself prefer JDM related cosmetic mods. but if you want a body kit go for it. your only question was.... if you would run into problems.

i dont think you should its more of a case of speed on bump, holes, and slopes. some places just have a horrible slope or slope entry point that even stock stuff breaks...

my friends cousin has a Sentra SE-R spec V with a R-34 front convo and rear convo with a Evo wing that makes it look funky.. (to me at least) but he got a VQ swap and i must say its a fast Sentra.... 3.5 liter Sentra..... man its follows the theory of "no replacement for Dispacement"

following up his kit has minor damadges from rocks and other doodads from the streets. hes very careful about speed bumps, especial b/c he gots adjustable coil overs.

are lip kits cheaper than body kits?
can i get side skirts with lip kit on front and back bumper?
Are lip kits less likely to cause problems with bumps and dips?
I guess I just have to really slow down on dips then?
and please post some pics so I can tell the difference between lip kit and body kit
thanks
