I would like to know if my alternator will work properly if i convert the plug

I have an obd1 vehicle and want to know if I can splice and solder the obd2 alternator plug onto my stock harness and if it will work properly

I don't know the prcoess, but my last motor i had a OBD2 Alternator converted to obd1. My mechanic friend did it for me... so for sure something can be done.

 

It will work, just need to rewire

 

any body know how to rewire it?

 

all the colors on mine matched, i just spliced and soldered white/red to white/red and so on

but now my speedometer is all F'd off and im not sure if this is the cause because the alternator, speedo and ELD all share a fuse or something

 

onm mine only 2 match up
blk/yel and wht/blue I think it was, the other 2 dont
