Default power steering leak weird *** place.... help

my project ej1 that most all of you have probably seen has a power steering leak apparently...

ok so:
bringing the car back to the body shop for a little more work and i had to raise the car (coilovers) so it would clear the trailer that we were loading it onto to bring it there:

passenger side no problem... i get to the driver side take the tire off and the second i start to loosen the lower coilover retainer or whatever its called power steering fluid just pours all over my hand from the strut... and its also all over the floor in my garage... how the hell did it get on my strut?? help please

i just raised it and loaded it on the trailer so it doesnt have to be fixed immediately but i'd like to know whats going on

thanks

it's red fluid... and it smells like power steering fluid and the shock is fine i'm sure its power steering fluid

and youngkadafi the leak started when i drove it... i havent driven it and turned since before the leak... i drove it straight onto the trailer so i couldnt tell if there would've been a squeal

well im in the same spot, my PS is leaking all over right now, im trying to loop the lines. I found if you jack the car up, and there are 2 fittings in the rack, that you can replace with like 3/8 or 1/4 fittings (forgot the size) then use some high pressure hose to loop the lines. No more leaks, unless a seal busted, which is hard because I have drivin the car with 0 fluid, and still only leaks from the hoses not making a good seal with the hard lines.

thats why i'm confused... but its power steering fluid i'm sure it was just in the bowl on the bottom of the strut where the spring sits...

young so i need to replace the fittings and loop the lines?
