sup guys, i was just on the freeway earlier, and my car just died. It didnt shut off completely though. I was driving, and the accel pedal all of a sudden felt like i let off the gas even though my foot was on the pedal. I kept trying to step on the gas but it didnt do anything. after that, the gas pedal wasnt working. the car cranks but wont start. The towtruck guy gave me a jump, but it still wouldnt start.

What could be the problem? Alternator? or fuel pump or fuel filter? If its fuel stuff, i want to try to fix it today. Please help. Thanks.

 

Well what kinda of car is it? Miles? How long youve had it?

 

rebuilt gsr with 2000 miles, and 135k on the chassis. I turned the key to the on position, but couldnt hear the fuel pump whirring. Maybe its the fuel system?

 

Yea most likely it would have to do with your fuel system. If you cant hear the Fuel pump or while you were driving it just cut off, it probably stopped getting fuel. But look for some more oppinions. BUMP
