EK D serie motor swap into EG...PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!!
I'm doing a swap with EK D series NON-VTEC into a EG chassi. can some one please tell me what engine harness and and rear bracket mount I need? My guess for the rear bracket is I have to use the ones from the EG because i'm going into an EG chassi. what engine harness is the best choice for me. I do have my stock EK harness but I'm not sure if swaping the fuse box over into the EG is such a good idea. PLEASE HELP. thanks in advance.
lol you can use your obd1 sohc harness you CANT use the ek harness. and why would you have to change the fuse box? that dosent make sense! yea and use your eg back bracket. but you also have to change the driver side bracket, to the eg one

ohh, **** sorry, well here is the deal. I should've been more specific. The EG hatch had a Type R swap in it, the deal is he got a 96 hatch and want to build that up instead of the EG, so we're thowing the stock EK engien into the EG and throw the Type R swap into the 96 EK hatch. so we don't have an EG harness for it. so my guess is fine a harness and ecu from another eg and get to run the the ek engine. please someone let me know if I'm going in the right direction. thanks

well is the take the harness off the typer and use it on the sohc, and use your stock harness out of te ek and use it on the typer. because you cant take the harness off the ek!
my only concern is that the type R has a knock sensor and it's going to look for that. it would have to be flashed. i have the harness from 92-95 civic and dizzy, also have a obd1 h23 ecu. hopefuly it works out.
you will need to use obd1 engine harness 92-95 civic and you will need to either rewire the injectors, alternator, dist to run the ek components Or you can change all that to obd1 unless you want to run an obd2 gsr harness. Then use the ek harness on the itr swap that is going into the ek

In that case I would have to run wire from the ecu directly to the knock senser. I agree that the ecu and stock ek harness should just plug and play. yeah, we may just run the ek dizzy too. good idea.
