Default Ignition coil

Hi guys i have a 95 accord ex, and the other day i was riding on the highway, out of know where my car just bog out and cut off. I checked for fuel and i was getting fuel, then i checked for spark and i wasn't getting spark, do you guys think my ignition coil went out, some people tell me accord igniton coils go bad, if u don't change them. Thanks

Distributor also, the thing with distriubtors and coils going bad is that sometimes they dont show any symptoms and just go

But yah, change the distributor first.. its most likley that

wait, why replace the distributor first?

Check the coil first with an ohm meter. Check the resistance between the terminals and reference the specs from the manual. If they don't check out, replace the coil.

If the coil checks ok, then check the igniter.

Whatever you do, don't just throw parts at the problem without inspecting the parts first, that can expensive fast.
