95 Accord clutch inhibitor switch help
Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be one of the little round plastic "buttons" on the clutch pedal arm behind the top clutch inhibitor switch?
It seems that I can manually depress the plunger on the switch and the car will start, but when I thread the switch back into it's proper position it does not work........ I know that on the brake pedal there is a little plastic button type deal.... is that supposed to be there for the clutch inhibitor too??
Anyone have a diagram maybe??
Thanks all

Is there a hole in the clutch pedal arm that is letting the switch plunger go thru it?
your description sounds backwards to me, I thought that when the plunger was out it made contact thru the switch, and when the plunger is depressed the switch is open?

There are two different switches, the lower one did infact have a hole in the pedal arm.........I think this switch may be two cancel the cruise control and that plunger stays depressed until you push the pedal in.......
The top switch, the one that I question, is infact the inhibitor switch that prevents the car from starting unless you have the clutch depressed.... the plunger is normally out on this one, until you depress the pedal, then it should push the plunger in..........I was not able to see the syrface that the plunger is supposed to contact........Just thought maybe someone knew...
Thanks,
