Default 6th gen manual tranny/ECU question.

So I'm in the process of doing an auto to manual conversion. I was wondering if the manual ECU's have a rev limiter on them. I know in the auto's you can't go over 6k RPM before hearing that horrible cutoff and bouncing all over the place. But I was wondering if the manual could rev a bit higher before shifting or what?

I have one n it hits about 7 before you jus keep bouncing off the rev limiter... but I think you quit making power after 6 n a half so it doesnt really help to take it to 7..

It really shouldn't be letting you hit 7000 rpms. The fuel cutoff should be set to around ~6500 rpms.

So you can go past 6K...I'll toy with it and see.

Any idea on how to get rid of the speed governor? And does it still bounce off the rev limiter at 5K when idling?
