intake manifold and throttle body from EX TO DX?

intake manifold and throttle body from EX TO DX?

I was recently told by this guy I met at jury duty who had the same car as mine that putting the throttle body and intake manifold from a EX into my civic (00 sohc dx hatch) will give me some extra horses? So i found someone selling this stuff for cheap, is it true? will it: A. fit and B. give me some power? the parts are from a 98 EK Honda Civic EX with a D16 VTEC. he also has the fuel rail and injectors, should I get that too?

If you get a complete auto manifold and throttle body its a direct bolt on and works fine.

So you would recommend getting the auto y8 manifold over the manual?
