Default Throttle Body

Will a 92-95 Throttle body fit my D16y7? I need to know if this will improve performance and if it works. I'm going to attempt to do a mini me swap in the near future. I just need to know if I can get a throttle body for now becuase my ride is a daily driven car. Please leave all information. Thanks!!

i have no idea on the fitment, but all it COULD do is give you better throttle responce, or extremely small hp gains

D16Y7??? Is this a 96+cx/dx/lx if it is then it has the TB that points straight up and no the 92-95 wont work.

so if I get a intake manifold... then it would work right? If i get the ex intake manifold. I'm going to do a mini me swap but its going to be a gradual process. I need the car to drive everyday.

Yea you can put that intake manifold on your LX then put whatever TB you want on. I have the EX intake manifold on my 98 CX with a H22A tb. It works fine.

you CAN use a 92-95 TB on your vertical manifold, but you won't see ANY improvement over yours. the D16Y7 uses a special 3-wire IACV built into the TB, so unless you use a different ECU or manifold, using anything but your stock Y7 TB will not work correctly. i'd wait until your get your Y8 head and ECU before worring about a bigger TB.

i would suggest doing the d16z6 intake manifold swap along w/ the TB....i've heard of some performance gain from switching to the side draft manifold.....the how-to i posted should help out.....you can also use an integ LS TB(throttle body) on a z6 intake manifold...i'll try and find the how-to on that one if you want also....

check out my review...

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=202493

also note that if you follow the instructions on http://www.makuragi.s5.com/civic_99/Y8maniswap you will be bypassing the coolant to your throttle body. this is optional but in my case it lead to a check engine light for iacv failure.
