*I have a b20z in my em1*

I have a CEL on my 2000 Si (code 6 = coolent temperature)

I would like to start off by saying my car is not over heating but I am having a problem with my vent button on the climate control. The vent is open everytime I turn on the car even when I close the vent before shutting off the car.

The other problems im having are:

- When car is cold, it wants to shut off after being turned on. It idles and unless I hold the gas pedal down it will shut off. Eventually it stops idling and the car can be driven, but the idling starts up again here and there not as much though.

- I think im burning fuel slightly faster too.

- I need to install a gasket between the header/stock b-pipe (I dont think the issues have anything to do with it) but it is making farting noises

 

what should I do based on code 6?

 

***also*** can someone tell me the wire colors of the plug that is used for the coolant tempature sensor located under the distributor???

Is it black, blue/black stripe?

or

Is it green/black, yellow/red stripe?

 

anyone?????

 

According to my manual it is red/wht and green/blk.

Thanks, I just realized I used the wrong plug on the coolant tempature sensor. The check engine light is off now but still having idling issues plus my car died not to long ago. Could it be the IACV? I already opened, cleaned, and reinstalled it. It was working for a few with some idling still, but now my car just died out of no where while I was driving. It doesnt wanna start, so brb while I go check the fuses
