High miles..not really a great price. Hell, I got my 98 SH a year ago, bone stock with <120k miles for $5.9k USD.

i've thought about that but i prefer the 5th gen.. theres something with the "nostrils" on the 4th gen that really gets to me.

lol... well is this car going to be highly modified? If so I think the 4th gen is a slightly better platform to start from a performance standpoint. Some aftermarket parts such as solid engine mounts arnt made for 5th gens. If you buy a 4th gen vtec you would be almost 50lbs lighter than a base 5th gen. 50 hole pounds lol. If your going for a nice DD then you cant go wrong with the 5th gen. Tis an eye catcher. Good luck

Its not going to be INSANELY modified but at least the basic i/h/e at some point depending if i sell the civic it might be a daily driver.

Hmm if you can you might wanna keep the civic. Use the civic as a daily beater and go all out with the prelude. Then you can "INSANELY" modify your car lol. Im middle of boosten my lude. 5th gen ludes like Mcluder's gives me hopes lol http://youtube.com/watch?v=DcZ-8nUe41s

that would be fun to do, but depends on the financial situation. When i get a prelude i'll be able to beat that horrible, riced out cavalier i always meet on the highway... btw... its the ugliest car ever, uglier then a neon!

a prelude is a much better car to daily drive than a civic, why don't you mod the civic and get a nice prelude to daily.

either way that is too much $$ you can find a better deal.

Just so we're clear, that's ~$8000 for a 2000 with 102k miles on it.

exactly..
i've thought of modding the civic but then it would cost me 4k$ (canadian) to repaint cause i'd want it black.
